Recent News:

February 5, 2010

Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Now gimmie Kirby's Dream Land 4 and I'm set for life.

No, but the only reason I'm updating is to let anyone who still visits this site know when to expect the new site, just so you aren't left dangling. The new site will be up anytime from the first day of spring to just before the first day of summer, that's my goal.

I'm going to just tell you now, though. Aqua Bunny's going to be the more "artsy" site, and this is going to be more article based, if that gives you something to expect (or better, not to expect).

September 02, 2009

Awesome. Aqua Bunny has now been reworked, and even though there's still more stuff prepared for it from here until months down the road, I can let up on working so hard on it (which isn't to say that's all I've been doing, I've got a life too). If you haven't, go to the site now.

Next in line is this site. This might be good news for some.

I've now got this site planned out as far as how I want it designed, I'm anticipating something compact and clean. I've already got the site's banner made out, it's the only piece of new Creative Worlds yet created. Like Aqua Bunny, I won't put anything new on this site until it's updated. However, like I've been saying before, don't expect anything grand, because it's not Aqua Bunny. There's an agenda for that site, to do something cool for the little guys until the big wigs do it themselves (which'll never happen, so it's a vicious cycle until I get too old for it). This is just some place I draw some junk about games I like in my spare time. But, there will be new content on opening day, contrary to what I said before.

But, that's what's going to be different. The format of this site will probably be different when the new version arrives. Some people may like it, some others may not. It's not really necessary for me to draw fan art and such of video game characters arbitrarily, but I will do it if there's a given reason, and that's one of the major things that'll probably be different about the site. Works will be done as needed and for emphasis, not just to do something.

That being said, comic re-creations and games are still on the way. It should go without saying that I love to do both, especially games and especially now. If you can wait for them, I'll get you some high quality stuff because I don't settle (games (and animation), I mean. Comics I draw fast because I don't live long enough to be too meticulous about characters that don't belong to me). All series information will also remain, and will probably be updated too, but other than that, all focus will be going to my new subjects. Old stuff will still be on the site, I'm not tossing my gifs out or anything, but it's just not important.

When the new site is finished, like Aqua Bunny, expect a sort of rejuvenation on my part. I'll actually start updating it regularly (for real this time), but only because I know what my focus is going to be, and I think I've got a pretty creative way of approaching it. All side projects I'll keep you up to date on, as well, unless they're a secret, in which you just won't know about them at all.

So, there you have it. Creative Worlds will undergo some changes, but it'll also see more updates and such, and should provide entertainment in a different way. Any comics I said I'd do and games are still coming, now I've got an open slot. But, keep in mind I've also gotta balance my career, my future (portfolios don't end), and Aqua Bunny, as well as an outside life into all this. It's still easier than me being in school, though.

Finally, as a note to anyone who's ever wondered, let me clear this up for you. Creative Worlds is NOT a portfolio site. It does not and will not have any of my original art and animation because the purpose of this site was and is showcasing my favorite video games in a way uniquely mine. Aqua Bunny is even further from a portfolio site and goes without saying. I will need to recreate my portfolio site from the ground up (yes, they're ALL getting revisions). Maybe someday I'll give people the URL to it when I'm done. But then again, given the track record...

PLEASE READ ME!!

I keep getting asked repeatedly about Poke Tales. I mean, I even made the quick link above to Poke Island SE, in fact, it should be the FIRST link you see (fine, third). Alright, for the last time, listen up;

POKE TALES/LEGENDS WILL NOT BE DISPLAYED UNTIL POKE ISLAND SE IS COMPLETED.

This isn't to be coarse, this is just so that it's not missed. I will not respond to any further questions regarding the matter (because it means you aren't reading).

If you want the game to come out sometime this century, learn how to compose music/code in javascript if you don't already know how, and sign up for aid (and stick to it), because it's going to be a slow process with just one individual. Otherwise, it's no skin off my back if you never see it for another decade.

Thank you.

PS: Detana Twinbee on the Virtual Console. As long as Konami exists, there is a reason for the Wii.

May 03, 2009

Well, for those who care or who have been paying any attention, I've completed my last quarter at school. It's been a long journey, but I'm glad that chapter is finally over. Moreso because I've been able to get into my career straight away. I can say with a great deal of confidence that I'm now a professional animator & game designer (entry level, yeah, but still). Not official 100% but the results will be in on the 12th!

I've really been stepping it up with animation and game design quality anyway. It's hard to tell as I haven't put up anything since Smash Bros gifs (because I got tired of the moochers only looking for gifs and ignoring everything else), but this has been a great experience for me overall. Now that I can become part of the industry, my reign of terror shall soon begin.

That in mind, the plan hasn't changed. I'm still up for overhauling AB first, it'll just be uninterrupted now (again, barring career). Then I gotta get this site to...actually be navigatable. Maybe then it'll be easier for both of us. Unlike AB, though, I'm not promising anything new with the update, or at least not to the same scale. This site's getting Poke Island eventually, that's a really big thing in and of itself, if I know how I approach game design.

But hey, now I can work on that without problem, too. On that note, looks like it's time to get back to production, people.

On the plus side, I'm going to try to update this site often again. What excuse do I have? None. So that might be good, eh?

Osnap Gradius ReBirth. What the heck, people, why didn't anybody tell me!? Well, that's what I thought about a week ago. I've been waiting for this Wiiware game since it was out in Japan. Add that with Bokutte Upa and MM9 for the reasons I have a Wii anymore. I love it. I'm just amazed most people haven't drawn the conclusion that it's an UPGRADED VERSION OF NEMESIS GB. Yeah, I'm hoping SHMUP and Gradius fans will notice that.

I was thiking about something. I like to talk a lot about the games I've played in my past. Perhaps I should start a game article section for old games circa 1990-1 to about 2002, since I'm so out of the gaming loop now I wouldn't dare go much further beyond. Give some insight on stuff, obviously peppered with opinions and dry wit (well, why else do you bother looking at anything here? Everything on CW IS opinion and dry wit). Well, it'll give me something to do here, at any rate. Plus, youngsters need to know origins of stuff. Seriously. I'll school you all.

Afterall, did it ever occur to anybody yet how I changed the headline on the top of this site to state "time capsule"? Yeah, this site's dedicated to the old school, now. If you want current misdirected Sonic or them new fangled Pokeymans, you won't find that here. =P

But for now, I am too busy. Check AB's update as it's message applies to both sites (kinda). Still, AB is now top priority (again) and as such, anything I was working on here (all of Poke Island SE) is on a hold. Even though it already was, because this is the busiest school quarter ever. Then again, it's my last. Hallelujah, I'll be done soon. All projects can be worked on with nothing against me (except a job, but that's a given).

So, that's it.

PS: I've been messing around with mixing some music. Someday I'll post them up somewhere. =)

January 19, 2009

Ah, Martin Luther King day. Great man, great day off. Anyway, just saying that nope, I still got nothing. If I'm not drawing Nidos it's probably unlicensed characters. I do have a couple of announcements, though.

First off, the obvious, PISE is still going. Here's the thing, I'd like to get a new demo video out sometime this year, and I say that as to not box me into a specific date. The news you see on the appropriate pages is still pretty accurate for today, give some extra progress, but I don't have time to type beyond the index page today.

Secondly, all Nido dolls sold out. Looks like they've found good homes. You'd think I'd update the Nido dolls page to reflect this, but I'll have to do it later.

Finally, I know for a fact that Aqua Bunny will be the first to recieve a redesign, in that I have it conceptualized in thumbnail sketches and writing. I don't have a plan for this one, but it'll also happen this year. Also, with AB's redesign will come some new things, from me and also thanks to some suggestions I recieved. I'm still trying to outdo every other single family Poke shrine I can think of. Even if Nidos aren't popular, at least I can say a lot more effort went into making them fun, which in the end, is all that matters.

Well, gotta fly!

PS: I found out Kirby's Dream Land 3 is on the Virtual Console. Unless you're going to whine about not having a million abilites (which really doesn't matter as Inhale kills everything faster anyway, and that's what friend combos are for), I suggest you look into it. It's both my favorite game (after the original Dream Land) and an obvious basis (and pretty much cap off point) for my Kirby and Alternate Universe works. At least now you'll understand the history of such things (and why I continue to draw Pop Star with three rings).

I'm still waiting for Dream Land 4.

December 21, 2008

This is just a laid back announcement to let you know I'm alive, but I'm not quite prepared to have an update proper. A lot of things, inside and outside of school came up, so I didn't have much time to think about what I could do for CW. So here's just some casual thoughts.

For one, I'm surprised Bokutte Upa is actually on the Virtual Console. Sweet! It's probably the second most played game after Mega Man 9. Take my word for it, it's a solid platformer. Now if they put MOTHER, Kirby's Super Star Stacker, and made an 8 bit Kirby's Dream Land 4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 for Wiiware (neither of which are likely, but both series could use a refresher of where they started, Super Star Ultra and Sonic Unleashed surprising being steps in the right direction), then I'd have a purpose for owning the Wii.

Speaking of Super Star Ultra, if you're a Kirby fan, especially one who didn't grow up in my time, you gotta get it. It's the real deal. PS: M.Dedede of ROTK's song is an arrangement of his Super Star Stacker remix. I just wanted to inform ya, cause you know I love Star Stacker.

Anyway, as for the site, I'm thinking CW and AB's redesign will come sooner than later, because it'd be best I did it before I graduate, while I still have time (what time?). Otherwise, this site should be updated for real within a month. Hopefully, I'll have some idea what I want to do.

Also, suggest some stuff for Aqua Bunny. =P

So, have a Merry Christmas (or happy holidays).

October 14, 2008

Changes within the assistant necessity of the PISE page. Looking for musicians, now. That's it.

September 25, 2008

PISE, the only thing that matters, is updated with some new things that you might want to see, as well as keep in mind. I think it's been a year or close since I announced it, so something must've happened between now and then, right? Check out the sub page to see more.

Otherwise, delivering what I promised, Gallery updated and Info-AU has more classic comics to read.

Also, a couple of gifts. Don't miss em!

Finally, I still have buttons and a Charlotte doll to sell. I bought way too many buttons so I don't expect to ever run out anytime soon, but if you've been on the fence about a Nido doll, might as well get this one while it's still here.

That's kind of it. Well, unless I have something worthwhile to say/show, see you in three months.

August 17, 2008

Make that one Charlotte doll left.

August 10, 2008

Just an update, there's only two Charlotte dolls left and that's it as far as Nido dolls go. And to answer this question, I don't plan to make anymore for at least a year. Maybe not until I try another design, as well.

So to reiterate, Nido-san and Mrs. Nidorina dolls are sold out, and only two Charlotte dolls are left!

And to give this update a bit more weight, just some word o' mouth from me about Poke Island SE. In my spare-spare-spare time, I'm still going at it. I've got a lot of stuff finalized where now all that's left is creation and/or implementation. I'd like to think maybe I'll have some more to present by fall update. Screenshots and stuff. But even then, they'll be limited because, well, the game is still pretty much hush-hush on the details.

June 23, 2008

First point of information, beyond the order I'm currently taking, there's also one last Nido-san doll. So there's only one Mrs. Rina and Nido-san left, you guys'll have to fight for it. But how about giving Charlotte a home? And speaking of Charlotte, why not learn more about her? There's another AU comic up on Aqua Bunny, this time for the purple experiment herself.

While I'm learning more about CSS, making a new layout is still not much of an option at this current time, so I made a quick links at the top of the page to get to the extra "hidden" pages.

At this point in life, it becomes increasingly harder to try to work steadily on hobbies. One thing that remains easy, though, is remakes, especially comic remakes because, let's face it, beyond updated drawings and humor, I know where it's going and it takes minimal effort. So that being said, I think you might enjoy the Comic Series's page long awaited update.

Kirby Information page has been updated to reflect this.

PISE page has updates within Assistance and Progress updates. I'd like to think I made some headway in getting things established.

Gifts page has an update, although I can't remember if I ever got any more. If anyone sent me any gifts and don't see them here, remind me. Outside of PISE and MUGEN, I can't say I remember much about this site these days.

All the previous updates can be found in the archives.

I may update sooner than Autumn if I get another comic up or something happens in PISE's progress. Also, gallery and AU-info should receive updates in the fall (definately not sooner).

That's all!
